a while back I had read on the forums (do not know whether it was IV or elsewhere) where a guy got a visit from USCIS because he availed unemployment benefits for sometime.
I have also read about people getting benefits on AOS without any trouble.
Again, it is better to be safe.

I would think writing back to the Senator's office regarding your email and the unrelated response you got from the office has frustrated you, as the Senators does not seem to understand the problems, and therefore you are asking for an appointment to meet with the senator and explaining it personally.
You may not get the appointment to meet with the Senator, but you will let them know how badly they are screwing up constituents complaints. By following up and actually meeting with an immigration staff members in the Senator's office will be good.

I have the same question and I am sure there are several others who have the same questions. If I understand this correctly,
1. The application can be filed 120 days before the expiry date. (based on webm's reply).
2. If you travel outside the country and re-enter before the expiry date on the AP, you will still be paroled into the country for another year from the data of entry. Is this correct?
3. What does this date (till when you are paroled) stamped on the AP when you re-enter on an AP mean? What happens after this period - is there any specific action one needs to take to extend this time explicitly?
4. Does the answer to (3) above depend on whether you are on an I797 (H1) approval that is valid for a period beyond the paroled date or you are on an EAD?

Yeah it will move forward but retrogress back again once the approvals from the BECs begin to come in.

Hi all,
This forum is full of smart people. So I want to throw my situation out there to get some advice from all of you. I am into 7th year of my H1 with by labor with PD of Sep 2002. At the rate things are moving, I am running out of patience here.
Things took an interesting turn last week, when a mid sized Software co. is willing to outsource me some of their work. Given the size of the opportunity, I will need to go to India to setup a team of 5 to 6 ppl. The co. is pretty eager and willing to offer some of the finanical guarantees I have asked for.
So my question is, should I take this opportunity and say good bye to GC? Or I should be patient as there may be a need to be in US to grow my outsourcing biz, in case it jump starts well. What would you do if you were presented this opportunity and you had the enterpreurial spirits to pull it off.
I would be eager to see what people say here.

Also in my appointment letter the state of residense says "Tamil Nadu"...but I am from Karnataka. Nowhere in the form I did not mentioned anything about tamil nadu except that I requested the interview to be in Chennai...as that is where I need to go for stamping.

Its simple,,fill in form 10c and and form 19 and send it to HR. They should even help you get it direct deposit in to your local account in India. I got mine....it was pain-less. This was not with tcs,,,another company...
My case is not simple but i did not quit in usa either..i resigned without doing the notice period in india sometime back.

I140/I485 concurrently filled : APR 2004
Currently have EAD and AP
Status : Married : Adjustment of Status Pending for Both
Did any body get their green cards because of the recent movement of eb3 dates.

"State Unemployment Wage Reports, showing all wages paid to each employee in the state, for the past two quarters as filed to State of California (This should not be payroll reports, but the actual forms filed to the State authorities listing each employee and wages paid during the quarter.)"
Could you please provide me the exact form name and number to submit through the dropbox. Also some explanation if possible on how the form will look like in order to track it down?

My Roommate had attended the HYD consulate on Dec 1st and he took tons of documents with him

Asked if he works for a client and had any middle vendor
Client letter

Agreements between vendor and employer (Asked if he had but did not ask to show)
Asked if the employer started GC processing (He is in 7th year of H1)
He got the stamp successfully.

Hi,
Have a query in regard to the H1B Visa status. Would it be ok to work for a different branch of the same company, when my unit is not able to provide me with the required number of hours/week. I work for a hospital as a physcial therapist, and am having trouble maintaining the full time hrs, Other units of the same hospital are desperately in need of the therapists.(But working for them would be under different tax id and also would be a seperate pay check, but the same hospital though).
Any answers would be highly appreciated.
