I hope someone here can shed some light on my situation. I have two midemeanors on my record and must go for my interview end of next month. The first misdemeanor was last year when I backed up and hit another car's headlight out. Because I did not have my license yet, I left the scene... hit and run. The second was a DUI earlier this year. I ended up with a 5 year probation on the DUI.
I also received two traffic tickets, driving without a license, in the past two years. I'm almost done paying the fines.
I received my temporary work permit last month and received my interview notice yesterday. Will these two misdemeanors/tickets play a role in my interview.

Even when NC is pending the actual EB1/2/3 GC is a regular 10 year validity (validity of the card) GC with no annotations/conditions.
How do you know that your 485 was approved even if NC was pending? Does your GC - physical card or the approval notice/emails - indicate that your approval is contingent on NC?

BTW USPS does not forward federal emails (and the ones where return service is requested). It may depend upon you luck if they forward it. However they do hold such mails for pickup (which is what i have done).

The same question is also raised relating to the AFL-CIO, labor unions. Again, you guessed it. The low-end industries and illegal aliens that will benefit from legalization are charaterized as workforces that belong to the organized unions. This is contrasted to the high-end industries and professional workers that are not by nature tightly organized into the unions. For the reasons, the unions tend to support the CIR, unlike the high-tech worker bills, to take advantage of expanding its membership and power base through the to-be-newly-recruited members of the unions. Never recvd my FP notice. I took lawyer's copy (original) and FP was scheduled the same time/location as my wife. Our kid was not happy being there (crying) so they did our FP's on a priority.

As far as i know only time you can recapture PD is if you filed I-485 and 180 days passed, If you haven't filed for AOS and your approved I-140 is withdrawn by the employer then you can not recapture that PD.

This will be the proof you require to port your priority date to another EB/I-140 some other time. This will be valid even if your employer revokes the I-140. The only instance this will be invalid is if the I-140 is revoked because of fraud or misrepresentation.

Very true ! I am not sure what the moderators of Murhty forum are up to but yes the forum has been hijacked by a few very rude members. BTW, one of their very famous members have been banned from another very popular Attorney forum for rude (and illogical) posts and now happily continues name calling and rude language in Murthy forum.
Good, so I'm not the only one who feels that Murthy is dominated by uncivilized conversations. IV came as such a breath of fresh air because everyone here is polite and agree to disagree in a civil manner.

I am in your stage. I am in AOS stage with EAD. I applied for FAFSA and I do qualify under 'Qualified Non-Citizen.' But, the school financial aid office was not aware of my situation and it took more than a month for me to educate and make them aware of this.
The FAO people only know about GC or Citizen. You will have to talk to the
School's International Office to evaluate your situation and ask them to talk to your FAO to explain about your immigration status.

Is there any possibilty for amendment from any senatore in floor discussion? Please post the procedings in this issue, as I feel this may be ignored by senaters due to the controversial guest worker program.
By the way is there any differnce between 202a3 and 202a5?

Actually it is 3 seperate images all of which are .png images with transparency, all which use A/S. You are right though, they are small images and it is a small flash movie. I guess with something bigger it wouldn't be a good idea.

Hi,
I wanted to know how critical are the tax returns for GC processing. I am asking this because i have filed the tax returns for 2006 as married even though i got married in January'07.
Now my marriage certificate reflects jan'07 and the tax return for 2006 was filed as joint.
Will this be of issue in the processing? Is there a way out from this, like readjust the tax returns?
Any help in this regard with be greatly appreciated.

Incorrect tax return will not necessarily impact your 485 application.
But knowingly filing an incorrect tax return may result in substantial fine if IRS figures it out. They do not have to necessarily find it this year - I believe an audit can be triggered anytime uptil about 7 years.
Saving 5000 dollars or so with an incorrect tax return is good if you can live in the fear of future audit for the next seven years.
The reason I stated "knowingly" filing an incorrect tax return is based on your statements. Clearly at this point you know your tax returns were wrong but because of penalty that you may have to pay, you dont want to amend it. Sure, if you are lucky , nothing will happen to you but thats not a chance I would like to take. Just my 2 cents.

retrogression!... if dates does not move and your wife were not able to file 485 before they approve your AOS... she will be out of status the day your 485 gets approved if she were to stay in dependent status (H4).. she has 180 days from the date of your approval to file hers.. if that doesn;t happen.. then she will have to leave the country to avoid problems..
I would say file it together.. thats the best..

There was no agreement signed. It was just agreed on an email. Am i still bound with the emplyment laws. Just want to understand before taking any steps. Also the project has ended after 4 month but i don't have any document. Also company B can't reveal any internal documents.
