If the photos are on the SSD drive, then yes they will launch faster than if on the HDD. Now that said, if they are just average say 2MB JPG photos the difference will not be huge. If it is a very hi-res photo say 10MB JPG the difference will be more noticeable.

    Makes sense . . thanks

edit: just read this article which explains it quite well
    http://www.tuaw.com/2011/05/04/new-imacs-and-hdd-ssd-configurations-how-do-they-work/

Thanks. So, the 27" iMac would support two external 22" hdmi/vga displays then?

Childs play. Supports 2 30" displays easily.

    http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/05/imac-2011-05-03-600-58.jpg

    Even my 24" iMac 1920 X 1200 powers a second 24" monitor @ 1920 X 1200.

    22" @ 1600 x 1080 is even fewer.

Are either of these options possible?

    1. He sends the iPhone 4 32GB to you, and you have to give the post office employee the iPhone 4 16GB in exchange for the one he sent you?

    2. He refunds the 100au or so difference between the iPhone 32gb and the one he sent you?

For what it's worth, I'll just throw in here that I too am waiting for a PM revision. (And have been, since the initial introduction, and then much more expectantly since MWSF).

*runs around room screaming in frustration, leaving trail of hair behind*

Macrumors is a cool site and the forums have a lot of cool people, but I think getting involved in the rumor mill has caused some serious stress...

Yeah, you're not the only one who's been stressing. It's especially not good when you tell PC people that you live with "I'm gonna get a dual G5 real soon and it's gonna be BADA**"...maybe with different words but to that degree, and the powermac doesn't even come out. I'm getting quite frustrated. I just ignore "Magic Tuesdays" anymore.

Heard a lot of good things about these bags and was thinking of getting one. I have a 12" Powerbook and usually carry an external HDD, Ipod, PDA and a binder and a couple of notebooks. I was looking at the "Wack-o-Phone" or the "Very Busy Man" but not sure which would fit my needs better because I don't want the bag to be bigger than necessary. Does anyone here own these bags?

Or is there any other one you would like to recommend?

I should mail him back and remind him to tuck his period inside the parentheses.

Periods shouldn`t be inside of paranthese (unless it`s a compete sentence), so you might not want to do that...

What simba posted. There's nothing wrong with your RAM or how OS X is managing it. If you're concerned about the 5 GB being "used", don't be because 2.01 GB is inactive so it's "free". Your Mac is only using 3 out of 6 GB or RAM.

Ok, here is the issue. I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch 2.4 Core 2 Duo (late 2007 model) with 6GB of RAM (DDR2 667). I don't know how to explain this because I am so pissed! Ok so let me try. Take a look at this screenshot.

    http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/6137/screenshot20110421at839.png (http://img808.imageshack.us/i/screenshot20110421at839.png/)

It says Used 5.97GB and Inactive 2.07GB. WTF? why cant it release that 2.07GB? I cant open other apps because there is only 28.6MB of memory FREE.. I know the Inactive Memory is there so it helps the frequently opened apps to start faster.. but what if I want to open apps that I don't frequently open?

WTF do I do? Is there something screwed up in my OS or is this how OS X manage memory?

    Sorry for expressing my frustration..
