Guys, this is another great reason of why to change your mind and ATTEND THE RALLY! Let's force CNN to put us on their screens and laugh in Lou Dobbs' face! We can at least reply to his lies in a forceful yet peaceful and educated way (something he isn't!)
One thing I don't understand is how come this guy used the words bastard, communist china(all the time),cheap labor for computer programmers and he is so full of himself. Why does he have problem if US borrows flights from russia to transport vehicle?
Guess this guy needs serious help and be instutionalized for a very long time.

To safeguard your own identity try to use any identity protection program, i do not work for or i am nto trying to do sales here, but i have used Bank of americas program and i used it for like 1 year it was pretty good. They alert you if there is any fradulent transaction like if any one tries to open a credit card or something with ur ssn number etc...
I would strongly suggest you do that and keep monitoring your reports.
I have seen so many other programs on TV about identity theft prevention software, services etc... sign up for something to be on safe side.
i also remember seeing something which rhymes with id lock or something, the CEO of that company displays his SSN number on all boards etc... i dont remember which one.
Just google for identity theft prevention programs and you should see lots.

my case was sent to TX office on 6/29 for 7/2 delivery and i checked online the receipt date was 7/31. dont know why. should be 7/2
but i got FP notice on 9/10 for appt dt = 9/25

Remember to get a MS in Computer Science you have to complete a few prerequisites else no University would offer you the degree.
If your Prevailing Wage Requirement states the minimum requirement is MS in CS (and/or experience) you should be good.

If you have a viable option: go for it.
Here is the math:
PERM: 1 year
I 140: 3 weeks with PP and 2-3 months without
I 485: 2 months
So you can potentially get your GC in lest than 15 months.
EB3 is not very predictable as many of the old cases are either through CP or at local offices (not accounted for in USCIS statistics). It may become current in above time frame; but if you do have a good option of going for EB2, it will be certain. So if I were to be you, I would seriously consider it.

Answer: Sure, you can. In fact, that is the advised approach. Do not fall back on EAD unless absolutely necessary.

Its true that Consulting companies take a good part of your BILL-RATE but other stuffs may not be THAT bad.
I'm working thru such a small company for last 3 years and this is my 4th client... 3 of the 4 clients were provided by them, no bench so far. They dont give me BillRate share but we work with a Negotiated Resonable salary based on the Cost of Living of the City where i work/consult for.....
Discuss the Terms and put in email as well as Paper before Joining - Be on Top of them even if they want to change a single spelling in that Terms Paper. You got to be very tough , aggressive as well as resistive with them for any changes they want to script against you.
I have been working for state government from past 3 years (approx) under a non-caped H1b with EB2 2006 labor cleared and i-140 pending and 485 filed in aug.
Considering the constraints of non-cap h1b , I asked a consultant to apply for my caped h1b in april. At that time 485 was not current and according to my estimation my PD would not have become current for 2-3 years more, so I thought of moving with a caped h1b to private firm. You all know what happened in july regarding 485.
Recently my caped H1b got approved. Since I have already filed for 485, I have decided to be with present firm for 6 months then think of changing using the new caped h1b and AC21 to private firm through consultant.
But I have heard that when one works for consultant, its easy not to get paid for certain months during project transition or while looking for project. With the result�.its affects the H1b status. Now that my immigration status is clean, is it worth moving to consultant and risk my clean status�??? Is working for consultant a big compromise against immigration status�??? Also i need to look for a job identical to my labour. I� m basically into web and database application in sql server 2005 , asp.net with ajax. What�s the market for these skill looks like�????
