There will be a great chance that my parent company will close down my current company after I'm transferred to them. I don't think my current employee will withdraw my I-140 case in the future. Hopefully that I-140 will go thru so I can use its PD for my future PERM/I-140 application.

I had a positive skin test when I was last tested (18 months ago) but a negative chest x-ray? I did not go on any med's because I suspected that I may have had the TB vaccine for international travel. When my mom supplied my immunizations (yes, it took 18 months to find them!) the only thing I saw that might be the cause of this positive skin test was an immunization that I had when I was one year old that says "TB tinc." I have no idea what that immunization is. Does anybody out there have any ideas?

That's not completely true. There are improvements in UCIS processing. If you check H1 or I-140 processing time 2 years back , it was much worse then. I dont think USCIS processing time is a problem for us right now. Of course it would be nice to have faster service for H1 and I-140 or 485.

I am planning to go India.Can I leave at JFK Newyork airport and return back at chicago POE?Will it be alright?
I heard that there are some client verification letters are asking at POE these days?anybody really faced such situation?If yes, what exactly we have to provide?

Dear Gurus
My friend is in pathetic situation. He is in US for last 5 years and fallen out of status almost 2 years. Using 245I, Finally he got his i140, EAD, AP got aproved i485 still pending with current PD.
Unfortunately his father fallen sick, and possibly he may not see him if he miss him now.
My question here is, can he travel on his AP, What are the risk involved. In case of his i485 get approved while he is in
India can I take it with me so he can come back with his Green card.

I was advised by my lawyer that entering on h1 does not affect a pending 485 AOS application.
So I entered on H1.
No issues encountered.

I am in the same boat as u r in.....I made a typo on I-485 and want to send a letter....On form 485 for the question "In what status u last entered" I entered H-1B when it should really be F-1.....After sending them the letter, do u know if we'll get a confirmation saying that our request has been approved?

EB1 was applied under the Extraordinary ability. I also have a EB2-NIW I-140 cleared as well. Hope that answers your question.
As far as I know employer sponsorship is not required for EB-1 EA case; not sure why you had to file I-140 for this ...........

If the employer agrees not to revoke the 140, Can I change the employer after getting EAD. 485 application is pending but less than 180 days.

As we move closer to an Immigration reform, even government officials agree that such major change is very necessary. Here are some remarks by Secretary Napolitano on Immigration Reform at the Center for American Progress:
Over the past year, as this Administration has pursued more effective strategies within the current laws, the picture of how exactly those laws need to be changed has become clearer than ever before. In the past ten months, we have made tough choices, and implemented significant reforms within the current legal framework�but they are not enough to create the system that we want or that we need. If we are truly going to fix a broken system, Congress will have to act.When it comes to immigration, I took an oath as Secretary of Homeland Security to secure the nation by enforcing the law and managing legal flows across the border. Let me be clear: to do this job as effectively as possible, DHS needs immigration reform.Reform legislation would provide lasting and dedicated resources at our borders, and provide some critical legal tools that we don�t currently have to combat smuggling organizations. For example, we need tougher anti-smuggling laws in dealing with the aggravated crimes smugglers commit�including assaulting law enforcement officers, endangering children, threatening relatives and abandoning people in the desert� hundreds of whom succumb to death from heat and lack of water. We also need to update current laws that don�t cover some of the new means by which criminals conduct their business. For instance, today�s smugglers and drug traffickers often move cash through �stored value� cards, which aren�t even considered monetary instruments under the current money-smuggling laws.In addition, we need improvements to the current law when it comes to interior and worksite enforcement. Dishonest businesses often ignore the civil fines for illegal employment now on the books because they�re so low.
