did my first MS, got First OPT ...worked on OPT..didnt find a job..
went back did my second MS..got another OPT...and moved into non-quota H1 (research field at a hospital)
now plan to go back and get an MBA..
1.) will i get an OPT after my (fulltime) MBA??? (as i already have 2 OPT's)...is there a limit of OPTS?
2.) Since i was a non-quota H1..will i have to apply for the quota H1 when and come out of MBA...which is basically a lottery system now!!! (and if i dont hit the jackpot that will put me out of status immediately after )
any inputs are appretiated!!

Hi, I am actually in a similar boat as you. Though I have an April 2006 PD for EB3 and am now on EAD as well.
Question1: Is it better to try and port my EB3 to EB2 with a different employer. Isn't GC for future employment ? If so, can't I negotiate with another employer and file new labour under EB2 and try and port my priority date from EB3 ? Also, if I do this will my current employer find out ?
Questions2: What is the process for porting EB3 to EB2 without current employer finding out ? What documents are required ? My current employer is not going to give me a copy of my I-140 or my Labour Cert. All I have is the receipt notice of my I-485 filing and my AP/EAD documents.
Questions3: Is it possible that since there are so many India EB2 applicants and fewer India EB3 applicants that it is better to stick with EB3 April 2006 PD ? Dosen't a seperate quota get allocated to EB3 than that which gets allocated to EB2 each year or will EB3 always be behind EB2? Please advise.

My I-485 application was rejected because of attached I-130. The rejection reasons was not clear enough and I re-submitted package without removing I-130. Today, I sent USICS a letter requesting to withdraw I-130 application. Don't really know what would happen now...

This is forum for LC Sub cases. I'm on last phase of my L1B(5 years would complete on 2009) so my company a large corp evaluted my case as fit for LC Sub and applied I-140 on July 4th and 485 on July 27.
I have no status on my I-140/485 or 131 since got the Receipts. Got EAD.
Even after my FP the case also was not updated.
Question:
If you have filed your I-140 LC Sub are you seeing any progress on your file?
If yes, which date your I-140 was applied?
Was that standaline or Join filing with I-485?
Which Service center is handling your case?

I am an undergrad student at purdue. I went to a community college for a year and transferred back to purdue. I did not fill in any paper work or anything and I was put out of status as per my international advisor. I handed them a all the documents that were needed for reinstatement. they told me it take 3-4 months for reinstatement and i should stay the US in the meantime.
Now being said that I filled it on 10/9/11 and i am gonna be dropped from purdue on 10/17/11. I am planning on attending a community college for the coming semester and they will not accept me with a terminated record.
So my questions are -
1) Will immigration department check back with uni if i am still enrolled (note: i got paper signed from my advisor with my graduation dates on it)
2) Should i leave US and apply for a new visa and a new i 20 with that community college?
If yes, then what are my chances of getting a visa?
3) What are my options??
Please advice. I am at crucial crossroads of my life.

Lawyers suggest renewing H1B as a backup in case 485 is denied. Having one more 140 or 485 is better than that. If he was going to get 2 GCs I would call it greediness, but one person is going to get only one GC and it doesnt howmany applications one person files. Moreover, people who file two applications are paying twice the money which will be used USCIS to increase capactiy. How about that?
