So you mean that EB2 petitioners are not required to file affidavit of support (either I 134 or I 864) at all for their spouse who are on H4 visa....
Any employment based petitions . You can send that as a supporting document but not mandatory .It wont comes under " initial evidence"

How come total pre-adjudicated in the chart is exactly equal to total I-485 in the pdf ?
What exactly total in chart tool means ?
You might be convinced that you are right but stating that others are asking stupid questions is little too far.
Its not that I think I am smarter or have any additional insight...but I take things at face value. Of course the total number of pending cases in the chart and in the PDF should match - they both are exactly what they say they are "PENDING EMPLOYMENT BASED I-485 cases" If that's what the report title says, that's exactly what it means. No point in over-analyzing if this is just for pre-adjudicated or only primary applications etc....

But the problem is, they mite b stating this under review for all cases to avoid repeated requests and hence the issue..

How has ur luck been with the POJ method? Have u always recvd the same informn from all IOs?
I always get a different response wen i talk to an IO at NSC...

Doesn't your own post have the answer... I came here to get the details almost a week back and I was doing my home work and I think I have got the right agencies.. BTW I am challenging you guys (Gangteli, Chandu etc) to set up a call where I can login and prove my intentions.. Deareast 'eli' u qualify to be a rat atleast with uer name.

It's your company's responsibility to make you aware about your dependent's status too.I worked for a small desi company for sometime and they lied that My wife doesn't need H4 extension because she is dependent on me.Fortunately I came out of that company.
javadeveloper - it is your company's responsibility (more likely their immigration attorney)to keep you informed of YOUR status, but it is YOUR responsibility for your dependants. Sure, the smart attorney is going to want to take care of all of the paperwork at once when filling for extensions etc as it's less hassle for them - but that doesn't absolve you from that responsibility.
Had it happen to a friend - his wife and kids had to leave the country, get new visas and H4's and were away for 7 months. Missed nearly a year of school simply because his new company weren't informed of tehm when he swicthed jobs

what you said is quite possible; though the person seem to be aware of vonage deal and was little worried of possible impact on teleblend's business. (They have $49.99 unlimited India plan - simply doesn't make any sense now...) I am calling them now, Again. Usually teleblend offers good quality services at lower price than vonage or lingo. If they don't come up with a good solution, I will move to vonage by this weekend.

Just a silly question popped up in my mind...
Doesn't DOL have a directive telling employers, they have to try to recruit US Citizens first, and only if they do not find properly qualified US Citizens they can go on to search for people having 'other work authorizations' . Isn't that the whole basis for the approval of our Labor certifications in the first place???
So can the employers not use that directive as a legal loophole and try to prescreen the candidates and ask them whether they are US Citizens or GC or EAD or H1 and so on... as a hidden ploy to figure out whether you are GC or EAD while externally they can still put on a facade that they are just strictly following the legal directives that DOL has laid out?
Doesn't this 'Try to hire US Citizens first' policy of DOL in total contradiction with the I9 statement of 'no discrimination based on work authorization' ???? I am a bit confused here :confused:

I always use AMEX and I know they have a good service. Maybe that is the reason they don't accept AMEX. I also disputed the charges with my CC company and they just got back to me after a month. They require some kind of proof (which I have), but I know what they are going to say. Since the email from UK emb(ass)y clearly mention the amount of $184 and $276, they (CC company) will say the charges are correct. The trick is to catch someone at the emb(ass)y, but it will only work if their email's are working or someone out there will handle my voice mail message left on their answering machine. It is much easier for them to delete/ignore the message than to take pains to correct the situation. Remember, I am dealing with a useless govt. organization rather than a highly competitive private company.
You can take a printout from the UK emb(ass)y website showing the standard charges for Visa. I think if you print page from the following link , that will be good enough proof for CC company.

Before REF, I waited for few weeks then tried followings:
1) Took infopass : Officer sent email to expedite.
2) Wrote to Senator: got reply they would get reply in 60-90 days
3) Sent an email via attorney to TSC: got automated response.
Then I got RFE after about 2-3 weeks of these attempts.

i have three question please please anyone answer ....
1 - i have previously applied but was returned due to pd not current , what to file in the form where it say if u have appllied before ? ( i am filing on my own this time )
2 - should the salary be there on employment letter . if so the present day salary or the one with labour approve ?
3 - i have an A# when my file was returned should i use that or leave it blank wherever it is asked also my wife have TIN number is that what i am supposed to write where it ask her to give her SSN
i will appreciate anyone answering any question please

The employment letter should state the salary and should also say the job is full time and permanent. Also include general job description and job title matching the labor cert.
You should include your A# wherever it is asked for. You do NOT put the taxpayer ID # instead of SS#, leave it blank.
Regarding your first question. I would suggest the truth is always the truth and check the yes box to an application being filed before and add a short explanatory note with it.

For those who are wondering about medical exam for pregant spouse. I had medical exam done for my wife (and we are expecting). Doctor decided to take Blood and TB skin test. He also decided to do blood partision exam (which will tell whether you have particular immunization done or not as a child) since we didn't have immunization record. It costed $400 (includes lab fees etc) in IL. He wanted us to come back after 2 days for TB result and after one week for blood test result.
